My Bucket List......so far

1. Travel the world without a destination and go where ever the roads take me
2. Go on a no budget shopping spree
3. Spend the night in a haunted mansion
4. Stay at every Disney Resort
5. Set foot on all 7 continents
6. Build a tree house
7. Swim with dolphins
8. Visit Rio de Janeiro during Carnival
9. Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef
10. Ride in a hot air balloon
11. Let go of a floating lantern
12. Have my own star
13. Find the end of a rainbow
14. Find out how many balloons it takes to lift myself off the ground
15. Get in a taxi and yell "follow that car!"

This is just 15 things on my bucket list and I plan on doing every single one of these someday! :)

Short Story

So, I'm writing a short story and this is what I have of it so far. If you have any suggestions, comment to let me know! Thanks!!

The floor creaked as Liz walked down the stairs of the old abandoned house. Old, yellowing pictures of people long forgotten lined the wall of the stairs that led down to the basement. When Liz reached the bottom of the stairs, she had the feeling that she wasn’t alone. Cracks in the decaying boards covering the empty holes where windows once stood, were allowing patches of milky moon light to cast shadows across the room.

Liz switched on her flashlight and cautiously walked into the vast room that made up a large portion of the house’s basement. A layer of dust covered everything that Liz could see. She searched the room and found nothing of worth, so she continued deeper into the basement.

As Liz crept down the hallway, she heard a door creak from behind her. Liz whirled around, her heart pounding in her chest, and saw nothing. Ok, Liz thought. That was just the wind coming in through the windows. Liz waited until her heart had slowed down to a normal pace, to continue walking down the hallway.

When Liz reached the next door that led off of the hallway, she turned to grab the doorknob and open the door. As Liz was reaching for the knob, she felt a cold chill on the back of her neck. Liz froze, with her hand halfway reached out, and slowly turned around. A long, dark shadow, in the shape of a man, was stretched along the length of the hallway. Liz squeezed her eyes closed and told herself that she was seeing things, that she was alone down there, that no one else was in the house but her.

Sewing

SewChic is a blog that gives tons of sewing ideas. I have found so many amazingly cute ideas. 

 

If you love to sew and craft then I would definitely check out SewChic. This image on the left is something that I tried to make last week. It didn't turn out quite as well as it did for the people on SewChic but it still was extremely cute.

YogaDork is a blog all about yoga. I love doing yoga and YogaDork shows a ton of tutorial on different yoga techniques. The tutorials are step by step and very easy to understand. YogaDork is a great place to go if you're looking for some new yoga poses and techniques to try. YogaDork has things for every level.

Alexandra's blog, Asking Alexandra, is full of posts with writing that really reflects the personality of Alexandra. I love how strong her voice is in all of the posts on her blog.
